The IC697CHS782 rack is an integrator rack designed by GE Fanuc. This GE Series 90-70 rack has 17 slots in a rear-front configuration. The rack can connect to modules with 0.8-inch spacing. The rack can be integrated with different GE IC697 PLC modules. The rack is compatible with third-party VME modules and it can be integrated with CPUs, different I/O configurations, and other devices and applications. The integrator runs with backplane connectors that are placed on the 0.8-inch centers. The rack can allow for multiple rack operations with just one power unit. It has the ability to run high current configurations easily. The IC697CHS782 rack supports an optional fan assembly that can be used for high-power modules.

The mounting of the IC697CHS782 integrator rack must leave enough space for airflow for device cooling. The airflow should not be obstructed between the rack and the nearest ventilation source. This cooling method is known as convection cooling. The mounting requirements are created by the application and the ordered rack being used. The operators need to make proper use of the mounting flanges that play an important role in the installation and replacement of the rack. To configure the IC697CHS782 rack, a pair of jumpers are required on the backplane of the rack. These jumpers add flexibility to the module installation.
