The GE Fanuc IC693PWR331 is a High-Capacity Power Supply module that is part of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 platform. This power supply has load capacity of 30 Watts with nominal input voltage of 12 to 30 VDC. It has output capacities of 30 watts @ 5VDC, 20 Watts @ 24VDC and 15 Watts @ +24VDC Relay.

The IC693PWR331 is a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module. This unit is a High-capacity power supply that provides Three (3) output voltages for a variety of functions. This power supply delivers +5VDC output with maximum power of 30 Watts, +24VDC Relay output with maximum output power of 15 Watts and +24VDC isolated output with maximum output power of 20 Watts. Being a high-capacity power supply, the 30-Watt load capacity can be assigned to the +5VDC output terminal however, the total output power shall not exceed 30 Watts. The +24VDC Relay power output is used to power electronic circuitry on output relay modules while the +24VDC isolated output module is utilized internally by some of the modules and external power for 24VDC input modules.

The IC693PWR331 is provided with an RS485 communication terminal. This port allows connection to workstation installed with GE Proficy Software for configuration. Additionally, the same port permits connection of Hand-Held Programmer (HHP) and other devices that are RS485 communication standard enabled.

The IC693PWR331 is provided with LED indicator that reports the state of the module as well as the components attached to the device. It has PWR, OK, RUN and BATT LED indicators. This power supply also hosts the battery back-up that maintain the contents of the PLC’s volatile memory. The BATT indicator is used to indicate the charge of the battery to provide reference as to when the battery must be replaced. The battery connection terminals as well as the incoming wires’ termination strip are installed on the front panel, behind the swing door.

For the isolated supply, the bottom terminal of the IC693PWR331 power supply module is connected to the isolated +24 Volts DC output that is used to power the external circuits. The IC693PWR331 module runs with an input voltage ranging from 2 Volts DC to 30 Volts DC. The power supply device can be connected to a peripheral device or a computer’s serial port by using the RS 485 port located on the front panel. The IC693PWR331 module can be easily mounted in the leftmost slot of the Series 90-30 device baseplate. This unit should be kept away from dust, dirt, and all heat-generating devices.
