The VMIVME-2540 is an intelligent counter/timer controller with versatility and reliability for event counting and timing in a variety of industries. It was developed and produced by the General Electric Industrial Automation Production line, and these models were subsequently purchased by Abaco Systems. The device is capable of counting up to four gigabit events and is equipped with a series of 24 discrete output channels that can be programmed with various onboard jumper module options. These output channels are designed to provide 12-bit resolution and are capable of delivering and absorbing current up to 10 mA at rates of +/-10 V. VMIVME-2540 is widely used in industrial automation, robotics, power, transportation and other fields.

Operating at frequencies up to 1.8 GHz, the SBC provides high bandwidth and processing power, making it ideal for I/ O-intensive applications.
