350025 125792-01 Enhanced Keyphasor Module
Description
The 3500/25 Enhanced critical module is a semi-tall, dual-channel module used to provide critical phasor signals to the monitoring module within the 3500 rack. The module receives input signals from close probes or magnetic pickups and converts the signal into a digital key phasor signal, representing the Keyphasor transducer when the key phasor mark on the shaft is reconnected to the shaft. The 3500 mechanical protection system can accept up to four normal bond phasor signal configurations and up to eight bond phasor signals in a pair configuration.
Keyphasor signal is a once-per-turn or multipleevent-per-turn pulse from a rotating shaft or gearused to provide a precise timing measurement. Thisallows 3500 monitor modules and externaldiagnostic equipment to measure shaft rotativespeed and vector parameters such as 1X vibrationamplitude and phase.
The Enhanced Keyphasor Module is an improved 3500system module. It offers expanded Keyphasor signalprocessing capabilities over the previous design whilemaintaining complete downward-compatibility in terms ofform, fit and function with existing Keyphasor modules for usein legacy systems. The Keyphasor module, PWA 125792-01, is
completely replaced by the updated 149369-01 module. When a system Keyphasor inputis required for Triple ModularRedundant (TMR) applications, the 3500 system shouldemploy two Keyphasor modules. In this configuration, themodules work in parallel to provide both a primary andsecondary Keyphasor signal to the other modules in the rack.
