2301E 8273-1011 Automation control module
Features and functions
The 2301E provides load sharing and speed control for generators powered by diesel or gas engines. With the built-in flexible configuration software, it is now possible to select variations of the application using an external computer (PC). Changing the application to fit the engine’s speed range, gear teeth, and choosing forward or reverse action is just a matter of simple software setup.
The 2301E controller is backward compatible with existing 2301D products as it has the same footprint and mounting configuration. The new controller ensures the continuous availability of a proven, versatile product with enhanced features:
– Separate RS-232 and RS-422 serial ports, both with 9-pin connectors
– Additional status led for power and RS-422 communication
– Fault data logging feature collects 16 seconds of data every 10 milliseconds in case of downtime, peak speed and load detection
– Low current PWM output drives Woodward’s l Series, f Series, p Series and PISC actuators
– New terminals can accommodate additional I/O, most of which are located in the same location as the 2301D model.
– Major compliance certification
– Engine/generator or pump applications
– Multiple dynamics
– Manifold air Pressure (MAP) limiter
– Torque limiter
– Low speed sensing function
– Remote speed and load reference
– Soft load transfer
– Automatic idling to rated switching
– Load suppress/load pulse option
– Idle droop function
– Optional Modbus® serial communication
– Adaptive speed measurement algorithm
– Two serial ports
– Data logging function
– 2301E ToolKit service tool or Control Assistant can be programmed
– Chassis in common or dangerous places
