3BSE018160R2 Thermal relay
ABB 3BSE018160R2 is a thermal relay product. The thermal relay is mainly used for overload protection of the motor. Its working principle is to use the current thermal effect to bend the bimetal sheet after being heated, and make the contact act through the linkage mechanism.
Specifically, ABB 3BSE018160R2 consists of a heating element, a bimetal sheet, contacts and a set of transmission and adjustment mechanisms. When the motor is overloaded, the current through the heating element exceeds the setting current, and the bimetal sheet is heated and bent upward from the buckle plate, so that the normally closed contact is disconnected. Since the normally closed contact is connected to the control circuit of the motor, its breaking will make the contactor coil connected with it power off, so that the contactor main contact is disconnected, the main circuit of the motor is powered off, and overload protection is realized.
In addition, after the action of the thermal relay, the bimetal sheet is cooled for a period of time, and the reset button can be reset. The main technical data of the thermal relay is the setting current, which refers to the large current that passes through the heating element for a long time without causing the thermal relay to operate.
