ABB 3BSE018173R1 is the model of the SM811 module. The module is mainly used to provide intelligent supervision of the controller during non-SIL and SIL1-2 operation, and forms a 1oo2 diversified structure with the PM865 for SIL3 applications. The SM811 module has a dedicated synchronization link for synchronizing active and redundant SMS for hot insertion and online upgrades. During hot insertion and online upgrade, data needs to be replicated between the two SM811s in redundancy Settings.
