The IC693CPU331 is a 90-30 series device manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is a single slot modular CPU. it is fitted with an 80188 processor with a clock speed of 10MHz and a maximum user program memory of 16k bytes. It supports 512 discrete inputs, 512 discrete outputs, 128 analogue input words and 64 analogue output words. It has one (1) serial port SNP / SNP-X slave protocol. The processor has a typical scan rate of 0.4 milliseconds per 1K Boolean logic.

This CPU is equipped with the 80188 processor with a processing speed of 10 MHz. The CPU has 16k bytes of user memory sized for 512 discrete input bits; 512 discrete output bits; 128 words of analogue input and 64 words of analogue output. In addition, the CPU has an internal memory structure comprising 1280 bits of discrete global memory; 1024 bits of internal coils; 256 bits of temporary coils; 128 bits of system status references; 2048 words of register memory and 16 words of system registers. In addition, there are 680 units of timer/counters available to the CPU and shift register instructions are supported.

In contrast to embedded CPUs, the IC693CPU331 modular CPU supports overlay functionality and comes with a battery-backed clock. The default memory type available for this CPU is the Random Access Memory (RAM) type, and optional EPROM or EEPROM can also be installed.

The IC693CPU331 can be mounted on any CPU substrate, either a 5 or 10 socket substrate. It can only be installed into the dedicated CPU socket, i.e. socket 1. The module draws the equivalent of 350mA @ 5v DC bus voltage from the backplane. As this modular CPU supports a larger number of I/Os, it supports I/O expansion using up to four (4) remote I/O baseplates for expansion.

Protocols supported on the serial port include SNP slave and SNPX slave protocols. separate CMM modules are required for SNP master SNP-X master, CCM and RTU slave support. separate PCM modules are required for RTU master support. the AD693CMM301 module provides 2 additional serial ports for the IC693CPU331 module. the SLP (State Logic Processor) is also compatible with the IC693CPU331 module and can be used to provide multitasking control.
