The GE Fanuc IC693CPU360 is a Series 90-30 Processor module. This module is a CPU 360 module with single slot width, processor speed of 25 MHz with typical scan rate of 0.22 ms per 1K of logic for Boolean contacts. This processor has non embedded communication port instead, utilizes the RS485 port in the power supply module for communication.

The current draw of the IC693CPU360 module is 670 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. The CPU clock speed is 25 Megahertz. The IC693CPU360 module occupies a single slot in an 8-slot baseplate. The typical scan rate is 0.22 milliseconds for 1K of logic (Boolean contacts). Starting with the Release 9 firmware, the register memory ranges from 128 to 16384 words in 128-word increments with Logicmaster and from 128 to 32640 words in Control version 2.2. For firmware versions prior to Release 9, the register memory size is fixed at 9999 words. Timers and counters numbering in excess of 2000 are supported on the IC693CPU360 module. The CPU module comes with a single integrated serial port which uses the connector on the PLC power supply.

The IC693CPU360 is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module from the GE Fanuc 90-30 series. This module is essentially a Central Processing Unit (CPU) module with the primary function of executing the downloaded user program to the module’s 240Kbytes user memory. This processor is equipped with a 80386EX microprocessor having a processor speed of 25 MegaHertz at a typical scan rate of 0.22 ms per 1K of logic for Boolean contacts.

This CPU module does not come with a communication port however, for programming and communication purposes, the RS485 communication port located on the power supply module may be used. This port is accessed by opening the swing door of the power supply module which is situated at the left most of the baseplate.

The IC693CPU360 is capable of controlling up to Eight (8) baseplates. These baseplates includes the local rack where the CPU ins installed and Seven (7) baseplates acting as distributed or remote I/O system I/O. The IC693CPU360 is a single slot CPU with backplane current draw of 670 milliamps from +5 VDC supply.

This CPU has a total memory of 240K Bytes where up to 2048 Discrete Input, 2048 Discrete output, 1280 Discrete Global memory, 4096 internal coils, 256 bits of temporary outputs. This controller supports Random Access Memory (RAM) and Flash memory storage devices.
