IS215VPROH2B Emergency turbine protection panel

IS215VPROH2B   Emergency turbine protection panel

The IS215VPROH2B is an emergency turbine protection panel developed by GE as part of the Mark VIe control System. The main function of this shield is to provide emergency overspeed (EOS) protection for the turbine, as well as other critical protection functions such as backup sync check protection, three analog current inputs and nine thermocouple inputs, which are used primarily for gas turbine exhaust overtemperature protection.

The IS215VPROH2B features three VPRO boards for speed control and overspeed protection via six passive magnetic speed sensors. The controller pays close attention to the signals from the first three sensors, using the median signal for speed control and primary overspeed protection. In addition, the protection board also has a speed difference detection function, that is, the PPRO’s calculation speed should definitely not deviate significantly from the predicted speed of the main control.

In addition, the IS215VPROH2B also has a variety of other functions, such as positioning function (transistor output type), built-in 24V DC power supply, clock function and hour meter function, which further enhance its application value in industrial automation control systems.

Overall, the IS215VPROH2B is a powerful and stable emergency turbine protection panel for a variety of gas turbine control scenarios.
