The MVI94-DNP is a ProSoft Technologies DNP 3.0 Master/Slave communication module that is classified under the Flex I/O series. The MVI94-DNP comes as a single slot module and has a capacity for 300 user defined commands. The external power supply for the MVI94-DNP has a ration of 12-24 Volts DC while the backplane current load is 20 mA at 5 Volts. The MVI94-DNP uses various forms to communicate the diagnostics and the troubleshooting information. One of the forms used is LED status indicators that are located on the front end of the module and provides information on the modules status. The status data values are also transferred from the module to the processor memory and are monitored there manually or by the customer created logic. To send or receive data over the serial port or the communication port, you need a communication program.
