The stator grounding protection includes 95% stator grounding protection based on fundamental wave and 100% stator grounding protection with three harmonic braking characteristics. Among them, 100% protection uses voltage differential method, which has high sensitivity and high safety. In addition, the device is also equipped with out-of-step protection, loss of magnetic protection, rotor grounding protection, negative sequence current protection and so on.

The generator differential protection in the REG 670 is suitable for applications where the DC time constant is large and the trip time is short.

The protection function can be used for a variety of occasions, so a single device can have multiple protected objects. The main protection of a generator can also protect its auxiliary power transformer. In this way, the cost is greatly reduced.
