The RET670 provides selective and rapid protection, monitoring and control for two – and three-coil transformers, autotransformers, phase-shift transformers, transformer banks, special railway supply transformers and shunt reactors. The RET670 can operate correctly over a wide frequency range and can adapt to system disturbances or system frequency changes during generator start-stop.
The extremely fast differential protection action, CT ratio matching and vector group compensation make the RET670 an ideal solution for most applications. RET670 has few requirements for primary CT and does not require auxiliary CT. Differential protection can be used for multiple circuit breaker connections, up to 6 side current braking; The second harmonic and waveform discriminating principle are used for inrush current braking and the fifth harmonic principle is used for inrush current braking under overexcitation.
