UR6CH Digital I/O module
The UR6CH is a digital I/O module from General Electric (GE) that primarily provides digital input and output functions for communication with UR relays. Specifically, the UR6CH module has eight Form-C digital outputs that are single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contacts containing a common point that can be connected to a normally closed contact (NC) and a normally open contact (NO).
Ge’s UR-6CH is a digital I/O module that provides UR relays with the ability to communicate with auxiliary devices by providing digital inputs and outputs. This particular unit provides 8-Form C digital output. The Form-C digital output is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact, indicating that there is a common contact connected to a normally closed contact (NC) and a normally open contact (NO). Form-C can switch between these two outputs, so it is often referred to as a “transition” contact.
The Universal relay series was built with scalability in mind, providing a hinged panel with access to the interior module compartment for easy installation and upgrades. While there are slight differences between the enhanced and regular models when it comes to entering the module bay, both models provide a relatively easy entry point for hardware modifications.
