WOODWARD Pilot valve controlled linear servo actuator

The WOODWARD EG-3P actuator in the hydraulic amplifier converts the electrical control signal into a rotating output, which is then amplified by the hydraulic force to control the servo position output. Hydraulic amplifiers are suitable for steam turbines or large engines with relatively large actuator driving forces.

WOODWARD class definitions

WOODWARD TG Governor is a self-contained independent oil source, mechanical hydraulic differential governor, suitable for small steam turbines that do not require synchronous (constant speed) operation.

WOODWARD PG-PL governor is widely used in various types of diesel engines, gas engines and steam turbines speed control, drive pumps and compressors.

The Woodward ProTech®203 overspeed protection system provides overspeed protection for steam turbines, gas turbines or other prime movers by monitoring signals from three independent reluctance transmitters (MPUs). Especially in cases where mechanical overspeed protection has become unreliable at high speeds (> 10,000 rpm), ProTech 203 can be used instead. The sensor used to detect the actual speed is usually the woodward Magnetoresistive speed sensor (MPU).

Woodward 505/505E(9907-162,9907-164,9907-165,9907-167) Digital controllers can be used to control industrial steam turbines, small grid turbine-generators or turbine expanders.

The woodward 2301D-ST is based on microprocessor control, with internal software specifically designed for single-valve steam turbine control. In order to facilitate the replacement of the controller, the arrangement of the wiring ports of the 2301D-ST is basically the same as that of the 2301A class of controllers. The 2301D-ST controller completes the core control of small steam turbine systems. The internal application software is in field programmable form to adapt to different configuration needs. Due to the enhanced functionality, the 2301D-ST has more input/output ports than the 2301A, and is equipped with a communication port, which greatly facilitates the communication between the controller and the PLC or DCS distributed control system.

The Woodward TG-13 and TG-17 are mechanical hydraulic differential governors used to control steam turbines – where they operate in a non-synchronous (constant speed) manner. The maximum rotation Angle of the output shaft of the TG-13 and TG-17 governors is 40 °. The recommended Angle travel from no-load to full-load is 2/3 of the full travel of the governor. WOODWARD TG-13E and TG-17E electro-hydraulic actuators are self-contained and are suitable for steam turbines requiring differential speed regulation, load distribution or other functions, and are compatible with all WOODWARD electronic controllers and accessories

woodward is available in the following models: 9905-263, 9905-387, 9905-411, 9905-412, 9905-462, 9905-463, 9905-657, 9905-765, 9905-860, 9905-866, 9905-903, 906-083, 907-014, 907-018, 907-028, 907-029, 907-147, 907-151, 907-162, 907-164, 907-165, 907-167, 907-344, 907-345, 907-414, 907-530, 907-695, 907-802, 907-803, 907-807.
